A Swiss International Airlines Bombardier C-Series CS-100, registration HB-JBA performing flight LX-918 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Dresden (Germany), was descending towards Dresden when the crew declared emergency reporting steam in the cockpit. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Dresden's runway 22 and taxied to the apron.

The airline reported that steam developed in the cockpit, definitely not smoke, on descent towards Dresden, the aircraft was able to land safely nonetheless. The aircraft is now being checked.

The return flight LX-919 was cancelled. The aircraft is still on the ground in Dresden about 33 hours after landing.
